About Rob Rosenbaum, MD, FAANS, FACS

Rob Rosenbaum, MD, FAANS, FACS, is an experienced neurosurgeon who provides medical, cosmetic, and laser services to his patients at Janus Medical Spa in Chevy Chase, Maryland.

Dr. Rosenbaum received his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. After completing his undergraduate studies, Dr. Rosenbaum earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. He then completed two neurosurgical residencies: one at the Walter Reed National Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, and the other at Hershey Medical Center in Pennsylvania.

With more than twenty-five years of active service in the United States Navy, Dr. Rosenbaum brings a unique set of experiences to patient care. He served as the chief of neurosurgery at the U.S. Naval Hospital Okinawa in Japan. Dr. Rosenbaum then served as the director of neurosurgical care on the U.S. Naval Ship Comfort in New Orleans, Louisiana, following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. He also deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan, where he was the primary neurosurgeon at the NATO Multinational Medical Unit.

Today, Dr. Rosenbaum is a physician entrepreneur who strives to advance medical technology and make the world a better place. He has written numerous peer-reviewed publications and holds various medical device patents. He also regularly lectures at institutions throughout the United States on complementary medicine and non-opioid pain management.

Dr. Rosenbaum is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a diplomate of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the former president of the Board of Directors for Warrior Canine Connection, and a member of the Board of Trustees of Parker University in Dallas.

In his free time, Dr. Rosenbaum volunteers with the American Red Cross at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda and regularly provides medical-legal support and patient advocacy for individuals in need. He’s also the owner of Joker Powersports, a motorcycle dealership in Blacksburg, South Carolina.
